Brown’s Brewing Company, Links Past and Present with
“Bat Shea Red” -an Ale Brewed in honor of St. Patrick.
(Troy, NY, March 12, 2007) – Brown’s Brewing Co. has brewed an exclusive batch
of Irish Ale named for Jack Casey’s novel “The Trial of Bat Shea” to be “tapped”
on St. Patrick’s Day, Saturday, March 17, 2007 at Brown’s Brewing Co. 417 River
Street location.
Brown’s Brewing Company’s head brewer Peter Martin describes the Irish Ale as,
“A well-balanced, medium bodied, red colored ale.” In addition to Brown’s
regular menu a special Irish themed menu will be offered Thursday through
Sunday.
Troy based author Jack Casey will be at Brown’s Brewing from 4 to 6P.M.
,Saturday March 17th , for a book signing as well as entertaining patrons with
storytelling and song from the Taproom stage.
Troy’s Terra Nova Church pastor Ed Marcelle will provide a “Blessing of the Bar”
complete with bagpipe procession at 5:30P.M. , Saturday March 17th. The much
anticipated annual event at Brown’s links both community and tradition.
The evening will be capped off by Captain Squeeze and the Zydeco Moshers party
band from 8-11P.M. Admission is free.
