random shout-outs

dickstaub.com has good insight into matters of faith and pop culture, and he recently reviewed two very different but truth-questioning films, "amazing grace" (about british abolitionist william wilberforce) and "pan's labyrinth."

kim (cahill) bugler recently turned my world upside-down by giving me an extraordinary book called "the irresistible revolution" by shane claiborne. what would it really mean, he asks by telling tidbits of his life experiences from calcutta to willow creek to philly's ghetto, if we took seriously jesus' command to love? truly love?
