arts: photo opening reception

Dear friend of photography,

The Photography Center of the Capital District is pleased to announce a new
exhibition of images by regional photographers. The opening reception will be
Friday, June 8 from 5 to 9 P.M. at the PhotoCenter, 404 River Street, Troy, New
York.

This unusual exhibit, “12 Ways to View a Figure, displays images made by 12
photographers who participated in a workshop at the PhotoCenter conducted by
renowned international artist Elizabeth Opalenik. The premise of this
collection of figure studies is to demonstrate that 12 photographers working
with the same group of models in the same settings can arrive at very different
interpretations and images.

A second reception will be held Friday, June 29 from 5 to 9 P.M. coinciding with
the last Friday of the month Troy Night Out festivities.

The exhibit will run through July 15. PhotoCenter hours are Monday, Tuesday,
Thursday and Friday 5 to 9 PM, and Noon to 8 PM Saturdays, Noon to 6 PM Sundays.
Additional hours by appointment, please call 518-273-0100.
