Weekend update

Tina Fey, I am not. She is actually leaving Saturday Night Live, folks... And now, the fake news. Well, actually, it's real. What to do this weekend in the Capital Region:

1. Friday, July 28 at 9 p.m., Doors, 8 p.m. Paranoid Social Club, with special guest Sucka Brown, at Revolution Hall, Troy. Pre-sale $10, day of show: $13. revolutionhall.com

2. Saturday, July 29 at 8 p.m. The Ellen Sinopoli Dance C
ompany, run by Troy resident Ellen Sinopoli, will share the evening with artists from the Ajkun Ballet Theatre Company of New York City in the Bruno Theatre at The Arts Center for the Capital Region, 265 River Street, Troy. Free!

3. Sunday, July 30 at 1 p.m. Sharon Bates, director of the Albany International Airport art gallery and local artist (her recent work was selected to become part of the permanent collection at Albany Institute of History and Art), will give a walking tour of the Chesterwood Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition. She served as the guest curator for the exhibition. The site, about 45 minutes away from Albany in the Berkshires, is the former home and studio of Daniel Chester French, a 19th century figurative sculptor commissioned to produce the Lincoln Memorial.
